A late Whoop Whoop.

Sarah at Confessions of A Fabric Addict still has her link open
so here I am finally getting my post done.

I did get some sewing done again. I am really working
at sewing several times each week. It is just harder some weeks than others.
But I do squeeze in a few minutes anyway sometimes.

Last time I showed my January blocks for the House Blocks Sew-Along.
These are the February ones. I am happy to have them done in the month of February.
Not sure, but I think the March ones are going to be yellow houses.

I got more done on my Baby Crawling Mat project.
I am actually making two of them.
I did not have enough fabric for the borders and yesterday
I stopped by Hancock's and they had just enough left on the bolt.
Whew! And yes, I bought the rest of the bolt.
This is a quick project I fit in for Mardi Gras.
A colorful vest to wear.
Got it done and wore it Tuesday evening.
I used an out of print Butterick pattern for it.
The number is 5552.
When checking the Butterick website I discovered that number is
assigned to a different pattern now.
I hope next year to add a ruffly blouse to it.

That was my week.
I have done a lot more sewing this weekend,
but will wait until the next Whoop Whoop to share that one.

Happy Sewing and Crafting!

Can I Get A Whoop Whoop?-One Finish, Progress on Others

is our host for this Friday theme.
Thank you Sarah for hosting!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I finally finished this apron that was supposed to be a gift
for Christmas 2010. Bad Me!!
But it is done. Now I need to give it to
my sister-in-law. That Christmas I gave her the fabric
and then took it back. Just took me a while to get it done.
 I am joining Terry over at Terry's Treasures
making these house blocks for the Houses Sew-Along
she has going on her blog.
These are the January blocks.
Just today I was cutting out the pieces for the February blocks.
Hope to be sharing them next week.
 I made progress on these Baby Crawl Mats I am making.
I shared what I had done so far last week.
This week I starting sewing around the fleece shapes.
 And then you have to trim them.
 Unfortunately I made a boo-boo. :(
Forgot to check to make sure wrong sides were facing out
on this one. Darn! Now I have to rip it out and do it again the
correct way.  Always something.......
Did you get anything done this week?
Can I Get A Whoop Whoop?/Quilt Square Quilt Along
 Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict is the gracious host of this weekly meme.
Thank you Sarah for doing a wonderful job!
 This week I finished the burp bibs I was working on
 to go with the receiving blankets I posted about previously.
 Then I decided to participate in the Quilt Square Quilt Along
with Jo over at Jo's Country Junction.
I am behind the others participating because I did not get my pattern
 until practically the last week of January.
The first picture is before I added the batting, backing and binding.
The second one shows it finished except for finishing hand stitching the binding.
It is pinned in this picture.
I made it using scrap fabrics I had on hand. No purchased fabric for this square.
So that is what I got finished this week!
