Whatcha Working on Wednesday-Cross Stitch and Such

Hey! It is Wednesday!
Time for sharing what you are working on
for Whatcha Working on Wednesday!
Thank you to Leslie at My Country Home
for hosting this fun theme for us.
Last week I shared a card I was barely starting.
Well, this is that finished card.
I was only a month late giving it to my parents.
But I did want to acknowledge that it was a special
milestone.
55 Years!!
They are going to put the card in a frame.
Another member of our church died last week.
I made this card for the widow and sent it in the mail.
We will be going to the funeral on Saturday.
This one was quick to make.
I found the design in a book I have,
"501 Cross Stitch Designs"
By Sam Hawkins
I have to admit that I am pleased at
how it turned out.
Here is the start of another card I am working on right now.

I also did some more stitching on my third "Merry"
block from the BOM I am doing.
I just have the french knot berries left
to do on this one.
Unfortunately I did not get to doing
anything on my apple bowl.
This week I better!

So, what have you been working on?
Happy Wednesday!

Whatcha Working on Wednesday

Time to share what I have been working on lately.
I did not get around to posting this last Wednesday
so I have several things to show you this week.
Go and visit Leslie at My Country Home
to see who else has been working on things in and around
their homes.
Thank you Leslie for being our lovely host.
This is a sympathy card I finished for a fellow church member
who was widowed.
I found out she really appreciated the hand made card.
I knew she would.
We frequently bump into each other
at the fabric store after church.
Hubby found this on a card program we have on the computer.
We printed it out and I glued it on the inside.

This is another card I am working on.
I am actually farther along than this,
and I will post the finished card after the recipient has received it.
~~~~~~~~~
Now for my big cross stitch project.
This is what I posted on the Stitch along blog two Sundays ago.
I had finished the highlighting on the apples
and started working on the apple slice on the left.
Also a couple more of the stems are done too.
This is the picture I posted this week on the Stitch along blog.
I did some of the backstitching that makes the crackle
look on the bowl.
I love how it looks.
Somehow it makes the bowl look more rounded.
In the meantime I have started another cross stitch card.
This is as far as I have gotten.
Hope to show a lot more done by next Wednesday.
~~~~~~~
I am also doing sewing.

Here is part of it cut out.

And I started sewing on this part.
So what am I making?
Hmmmm....
Have a great Wednesday!

Three Or More Tuesday in the Sewing Room

It is time for Three or More Tuesday and this week
I am participating in the sewing room.
But first thank you to Tam for hosting Three or More Tuesday!
You can visit her over at The Gypsy's Corner
to see more participants and to add yours
if you wish to participant with us.
~~~
So, what have I got in the sewing room?
Fabric!
And notions!
And buttons!
I guess this means I have more projects planned
along with the 100's of others things I have to do.
Well, that might be an exaggeration.
But I do have lots of other projects that are not finished
or not even started!
And I get more fabric!!
What am I doing?!?!?!?!?
Going crazy probably. LOL!
This is boy themed fabric.
Hmmm...do you think maybe this will turn into
a baby boy outfit or two.
You will have to wait and see.
And what about this?
Perhaps a baby girl outfit or two?
Another wait and see.
I happen to have the pink polka dot fabric already.
It was in my godmother's stash when she passed away.
I think I have it paired up here pretty good
with the solid pink and the eyelet ruffle stuff.
Guess you will just have to come back and see what
all this turns into. Heehee.
Helmi is in the background telling
me I am bad for keeping people in suspense.
Happy Three or More Tuesday!
Pink Saturday Crafts!
It is time for Pink Saturday!!
Thank you Beverly over at How Sweet the Sound
for hosting.
I am also doing a Pink Saturday post on my main blog too!
At work, whenever someone is expecting
there is eventually a Baby Shower for the Mom-to-be. This time I made a card.
Here it is in progress.
Obviously this Mom-to-be is
expecting a GIRL.
Here is the finished card!
I just started making cross stitch cards.
I get the cross stitch patterns from a book I have.
I am hoping to find another book to give me more options.
So far I have made 4 cards with two more in the works.
This is the outfit I gave her.
I had made this some time ago,
but never gave it to anyone.
Since I did not have time to make anything new
this worked in a pinch.
Now I need to make another baby girl outfit.
Another co-worker is expecting a girl.
Need to get to work on baby stuff again!
Why does blogger do this?????
This picture and the next got turned around.
Okay, just turn your head sideways to get a better look.
The hat.
Sideways.
Darn blogger!!
Thanks for visiting.
Happy Pink Saturday!
I will do my best to get around to those posting
for Pink Saturday.
Whatcha Working on Wednesday
Time for Whatcha Working on Wednesday.
I don't have many pictures to post this time.
In the above picture I am organizing my DMC floss.
I was wrapping the new floss I had purchased recently
and inserting them into the storage boxes I have.
I had to do a lot of shifting.
You can see my hat in the background.
I added a strip of left over fabric from the placemats I made.
It added that festive look for wearing it over the 4th of July weekend.
I printed the DMC list of colors from the DMC website.
Works great for keeping track of what I have and what I still need.
It also has all the colors that are available listed there too.
Here is the latest on my apple bowl cross stitch that I posted
on the stitch along blog.
Here I had done some more on the highlights and started filling in the
apple slice on the left side.
I have also made another cross stitch card for a baby shower.
Because it is in pink,
I am going to post that one for Pink Saturday.
In the meantime I have started a Sympathy card and I am close to finished on that one.
The memorial service is Saturday.
I want to have it done by then.
I should try to make some of the Sympathy cards up ahead of time
so I have them ready to go when needed.
~~~
I am excited that a new block is out on A Christmas Wish BOM.
This time the word is DELIGHT and the design is delightful.
Can't wait to get to work on that one.
