Plarn project and something for Stella
I didn't like how the fun fur was turning out using the crochet method. So I undid that and decided to weave it though with a needle instead.

Here it is after I did all the weaving. I liked how it turned out here. Hubby said he liked it too. Way cool!
And so did Helmi and Stella

But the inside looks like this. I think I will make a lining to cover that part up.

Helmi and Stella agree with my choice.
I found this piece of flannel in my scrap fabrics left over from when I made pajamas for my daughter one year when she was small.

But I interrupt the plarn project to make something else using crochet cotton and a steel hook.
Stella is wondering what I am making.
Surprise.... Stella!
I made you your very own handbag.

See Stella model her handbag. It even has a button closer. And yes the bag really does open.
Stella is ready for our outing on Saturday!
But now Helmi is jealous I have not made one for her yet.
Ok Helmi, you will get your turn.

Hi Linnea
Stella's handbag is wonderful. What a fantastic idea to make that for her. I am sure she loves it, just look at her smiling! I hope Helmi is not too jealous.
I hope you all enjoy your outing.
Best Wishes
Lindsay
That is the cutest little handbag. Although you'll definitely have to make something for Helmi so she doesn't feel too jealous. We wouldn't want that after her and Stella have been getting along so well. I hope you have a great day tomorrow!
I had to come over right away and make sure that you lived in a warmer climate than I did! I'm so glad you do, at least if you're in the southern part. I would hate to think of you being so cold. I like the handbag too! You do such creative things!
Ha, ha..you are too funny! I love the little doll bag. Your plarn bag turned out pretty nice. I was just thinking how easy it would be to clean a bag like that!
Thanks for your advice on the pop-up issue. It seems very sporadic. Penniwig told me that she sees it happen usually on blogs that belong to a Prim webring or something like that so she's thinking someone hacked the server that those people belong to but that's not my case (Wait a minute....what if I linked from one of those sites, sharing a craft? Wonder if that would do it?!)
I am thinking it has something to do with protection, like pop-up blockers and how often a person cleans their computer. It may also have more to do with where they came from when they came to my blog, too. I've done all that I know how to do at this point. I can't find any more help than deleting 3rd party widgets from Blogger help and that's been done!
Have a great weekend!

Poor Helmi...you may be starting a new fashion statement here! Oh...now Ms. Magpies Annie and my Frannie will need one to keep up with the Trend...LOL...see what you have done...lol... Hmmm, just thinking that a new purse for Annie may keep her VERY busy...we could "borrow" Shelias grass spheres...Now I have to hop over to your other blog....
Just checking in with a few of my favorites today...and then it is RUN Jane RUN some more!
Hi Linnea--Stella's handbag is wonderful--you are so talented. Thank you for making it for her--it looks beautiful and I know she's going to enjoy having it on her travels with her--what a great idea!
