Get R Done Friday!

I am finally posting here again.

I have some Get R Done stuff to show you.

But first thank you to ClassyChassy for hosting

Get R Done.

You can find her at Expressly Corgi.

This week is the last episode of Get R Done.

~~~~~~~~
For gift bags just the right size for gift cards,
I decided to make the Itty Bitty Poochie Bags I found
at Mode Bake Shop.
Aren't they cute?
I made four of them for my nephew and nieces.
I stuck a gift card and some candy in each one.
They were a big hit.
I might make some more to have the ready for next year.
I have enough materials to make a few more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I am still working on my sewing room closet.

We have gotten more done on it!

I gave my husband a new cordless power drill for Christmas.

It worked great for putting up the top track for the shelves.

The I attached the first two rows of shelves.

That is all we have gotten so far.

Then I went through two boxes of books that were originally

stored on the floor of this closet.

I filled the two shelves with the books I wanted to keep.

Found four duplicates so of course I put those in the donation bag for the library.

I went through the rest of the books and decided to keep 17 others.

The remaining filled a paper bag to also be donated to the library.

The two boxes got cut down and put out in the recycle can.

So that was a little bit of decluttering for me.

Woo hoo!!

I have gift cards that will buy me three more rows of shelves and the needed

supplies to support them.

I will fill one more with books.

Then that should bring the height of the shelves down to a more comfortable height for me

to start storing my sewing and craft supplies on them.

My painful shoulders keep me from reaching up for things easily.

~~~~~~
So, what have you gotten done?
Thanks for joining in the last GET R DONE - great job on that closet! It inspires me to get organized this new year - I've tried in the past, but - perhaps I'll have to find new homes for things I believe I will never get finished, first!!! The little bags are adorable - they would be wonderful party favors and cute to hold small gifts and candies for the grand kids!! Happy New Year!
And I LOVE your craft room - good thing you gave your husband his Christmas present - so he could help you - lol. I just love it. Wish I had one.
Sorry I am late checking everyone Get R Done.
they're just the sweetest ever. I would love to make some of the little bags and I might just as well start now on small projects to get me through the winter months. I can't wait to see how your craft room gets set up..my area needs to be decluttered in the worst way..fingers crossed that I can get it done.
Happy New Year..may it be filled with blessings..
Those gift bags are just totally adorable, and don't look to difficult to make either. I think that they would make great birthday, valentines, etc. bags, too with the right materials.
It's always great to find ways to get things more organized. I need to go through the thousands of books we have (all our rooms have several bookshelves as well as all the walls in the den) and clear some of them out so that I can arrange some of my craft stuff in the shelves... Just can't usually find the time. Classy Chassy's Meme really did help me to get SOMETHING done each week!
Christmas decorations are down and put up except for the 5' Santa. My husband has the magic touch for taking off his head and putting him up. I squishes down into a smaller box. I'm too afraid of breaking him! I have to now finish the girls Christmas gifts! I got them almost done but got hung up on a part I have to have the teacher show me how to do. I'll post them when I'm done. The girls loved them though and could tell they were purses!!
